The House of Commons is committed to the development of every member of staff. We want to help them perform their roles to a high standard, develop broader skills and knowledge as well as supporting longer term career planning.  You can access our Learning Management System even before you start work so you know what to expect. We also run a wide range of one-off training events and have been accredited by Investors in People (IiP) since 2003. 

Our approach to learning is supported by our appraisal process, which has a strong focus on identifying development opportunities and by our bespoke competency framework. We are committed to offering learning and development opportunities both to those who stay with us for their whole careers and to those who are with us for a short time.
